How does the process work?

To enable B.C. to compare your employment, education, location in B.C., language proficiency, and wage to the needs of the provincial labor market, you must first register with the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). By finishing all of the registration stages on BCPNP Online, you can register. Following that, you will receive a registration score based on a number of variables and be added to a selection pool for the selected category. People who satisfy particular requirements and have a score higher than a particular cutoff are invited to apply for a province nomination in a provincial draw.

After that, candidates will have 30 days to apply through BCPNP Online. If you receive a provincial nomination, you can then apply for permanent residence with the Canadian federal government.

British Columbia Express Entry

In line with the federal government's Express Entry immigration selection program, Express Entry BC gives qualified applicants expedited handling of their BC PNP application and, if nominated, their application for permanent residence. How does the process work?

You must already have a current Express Entry profile with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in order to start the application process. The next step is for you to register with the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) so that British Columbia can compare your employment, education, location within British Columbia, language proficiency, and wage to the demands of the provincial labor market.

Candidates will then have 30 days to submit their applications via BCPNP Online. If chosen, the Express Entry system will submit a provincial nomination on your behalf. You have to use the Express Entry mechanism to accept the nomination.

Express Entry

The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) are the three main economic class immigration programs used by the Canadian federal government. Express Entry is an application management system. The Express Entry mechanism is also used by numerous PNP streams. "Enhanced" streams are what we refer to as. "Base" streams are those that do not make use of the Express Entry mechanism.

Candidates are judged using a variety of criteria, including their age, education, work experience, and language proficiency, through the Express Entry system. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) assigns them a grade based on these elements. The Express Entry B.C. stream and other enhanced PNP streams are coordinated with Express Entry.

Based on the information in each applicant's profile, B.C. searches the Express Entry pool to identify qualified applicants. Candidates for Express Entry who earn a provincial nomination from British Columbia are given an extra 600 CRS points. This essentially ensures that you will be invited to submit an application for permanent residence at the upcoming Express Entry draw.
