Canada prioritizes candidates: CRS drops down to 380 and is inviting 5956 candidates

On May 31, a new express entry draw was held by Canada which has invited individuals to apply for Canadian permanent residency and the CRS score has dropped down to 380.

The individuals who have credits equal to or greater than 380 are given an invitation by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. The candidates who have been invited under the Canadian Experience Class should have one year of skilled experience in Canada at the minimum. Alongside this, he has to have an intermediate level of language skills and should also meet certain other criteria for being eligible for the CEC.

This draw has been figured as the third-largest draw ever of Express Entry and had the second-lowest Comprehensive Ranking Score in this particular year. Early this year, the draw records were set with IRCC giving an invitation to 27,332 Canadian experience class candidates in the month of February in a single draw. Also, in the month of April, six thousand Canadian experience class candidates each in two different draws.

The nation has sent an invitation to 4,114 more individuals through this declaration. This invitation has got score requirement 17 points lower than the previous ones if compared to the previous CEC draws. Moreover, candidates were been invited with a score of 401 three weeks ago.

Canada has prioritised candidates who are more likely to be residing in the country already since the very beginning of this year. This came into existence because of the travel restrictions which had come into effect. The travel restrictions did not permit the candidates travel who had been approved overseas and are incapable of completing their journey to permanent residence. The government of Canada had to emphasise more on the domestic candidates as they feel it makes more sense.

An estimate of 95 per cent of Canadian experience class candidates was in the pool of Express Entry from May 6 as per IRCC data. About every two weeks except for this third week, IRCC has been holding Canadian experience class draws. In addition to this, about every two weeks, the department of immigration has been holding a draw that targets particularly the candidates of the Provincial Nominee Program also.

Although being a great contributor to the domestic candidates, a record-breaking number of new immigrants will be admitted by the country in the preceding three years. Through the express-entry managed programs, 108,500 new immigrants are likely to come this year. Till now, IRCC has invited 74,773 individuals of Express Entry in order to let them apply for Permanent residence.

The major chunk comes from the draw of February 13 which gave an invitation to each Canadian experience class individual in the pool of Express entry, a total of 27,332 individuals. 23,877 candidates alone filled out their application in this particular draw only prior to the deadline of 90-days. This record had been told by IRCC in an email to CIC.

Both the CEC and PNP draws vary in CRC requirements as the candidates of PNP get an additional 600 points automatically. On the other hand, the Canadian Experience class candidates are not taking assistance from any other program. At length, IRCC holds more off the top permitting the individuals for the cutoff score to decline.
